FAQs

Why should you get Permanent Makeup Procedure

Save time every morning

Wake up with well-defined and filled-in brows or full and tinted lipstick

One & Done

Did you know that out of all the beauty services, Ombre Powder Brows will cost you the least amount in the long run? After the initial session & touch-up, your brows should last you 3-5 years

Aging & Hairloss

As  ple age, the eyebrows may become thinner or sparser. Ombre powder brows can provide a solution by enhancing the brows' appearance and giving a more youthful look.

Waterproof/smudge-proof

Traditional eyebrow makeup can smudge or fade throughout the day, especially in humid or active environments. Permanent makeup remain intact and won't smudge, providing a consistent look.

Fix Uneven Brows

Are your brows naturally uneven? Although realistically, twins do not exist (I have forever looked) we will try our best to achieve more symmetry while maintaining all that natural hair. More hair = more fluff.

Add more fullness

Do you have sparse or full brows? This service is perfect for anyone seeking to add more fullness and definition. You can make it natural or dark depending on how many layers you do.

CONSULTATION?

Do I need a consultation before making an appointment?

If you have a specific question or concern you are welcome to message through my Instagram or my phone number/ email to do a digital consultation. I book enough time to discuss your needs and wants at the initial appointment. At the beginning of every appointment, there is a consultation and pre-draw portion where we both decide the shape and color that suits best.

If you feel more comfortable  doing an in person consult before booking, you can contact me to schedule in person consultation appointment

Have your lips had fillers?
No worries, you can still get a lip tattoo you just have to wait at least 4 weeks for your filler to heal before getting your lip color. You could also come in for your lip blush first, wait when it heals for 4 weeks and get fuller after.

What is the difference between Microblading and Nano Hairstrokes and Ombre Powder Brows?

Microblading uses a handheld tool to create natural hair strokes throughout the brows to fill in any gaps you may have.

Ombre Powder Brows are achieved by creating layers of tiny dots in the skin with a cosmetic tattoo machine that uses a very fine needle that graces the skin back and forth while depositing color underneath the skin., The dots mimic a powdery effect, leaving you with a soft, filled in makeup look as when you fill in your own brows.

What is the process for each permanent makeup procedure ?

The process will begin with one hour of consultation to learn more about clients’ expectations. During this time, I will make recommendations and draw the best suitable shape for the clients face based on bone structure, hair flow, and symmetry of the clients face.  We will go over the color choices and clients’ expectation.

For BROWS: I will shape your eyebrows so you get an idea of shape and form then we will decide on the color based on your skin tone and your natural brow hair. Once the shape has been approved by the client ( (ultimately it is your decision. – but I will always voice my opinion on what I think suits you aesthetically), I will then proceed with the tattooing process.

For LIPS: We will first draw your lips with a pencil and even out the border of your lips if needed.

The semi permanent tattoo process will only start once you have approved the shape and color of choice that is fit for you.

You will be numbed before and during the procedure with topical anesthetic to make sure you are comfortable the whole time.  This process itself will take about 1.5 hours - 2 hours which includes numbing, outlining, shading, picture taking and also aftercare instructions.

How long will it last?

It lasts 2-3 years depending on your skin retention, the shade of choice,  lifestyle, skin routines and how you care for it. Over time, the color will fade and become light. Especially in Arizona, it’s very important to wear sunscreen to protect the longevity of permanent makeup

It is unlike traditional tattooing, this procedure is done on the epidermis layer of the skin, thus making it less permanent.

Does it hurt?

A topical anesthetic will be used before and throughout the procedure. Everyone has a different level of sensitivity. It does vary person to person and every effort will be made to ensure you remain comfortable.

For LIPS: The pain level is mid level due to the fact that lips are more sensitive and has more nerve endings.

How long does it take to heal?

Healing time varies from individual to individual. Usually, it takes about a week to 14 days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off. Your skin will be considered healed after that happens. Then, the pigment takes some time to settle into the skin. A good month should pass before I consider the process complete. During healing, it's normal to experience some pigment loss; this is why we have the touch up in place.

Why do I need a touch up?/ How many sessions do I need?

If you are worried about going too dark the first time,  It is also a reason to go back for a touch up to get them darker

Permanent makeup  are a two step process. Your brows or lips  will lighten by 30- 40 % after the initial session. Everyone heals differently and some might notice light and patchy areas after only one session. Reasons could be due to excessive sun exposure, existing scarring, bleeding during the session etc. Touch ups are NOT included in the initial price and should be done between 6-10 weeks after the initial procedure. Touchup session is considered a perfection session to go over any spots that did not pick up the pigment well or if you would like to go darker/bigger etc

Typically, the results of this service last up to three years, but if you notice any fading, you can have your brows retouched by your brow artist sooner.

I have previous work done on my brows, will you still be able to do them?"

Yes if it is faded by 50-70%. I require that anyone who has had their brows tattooed previously by another artist to text me a photo before booking. This way I can discuss your best options. If they are too dark, you will not be able to get the ombre effect and it may come out darker or block-y. It is best to get tattoo removal first. If the previous work has a tint of blue, green, grey or red in it then it will require a color correction. Color correction is needed to neutralize the undertones from the previous work to brown.

What will make my permanent makeup fade quicker ?

Oily skin clients tend to require touch-up earlier because of the oil production while dry skin clients are able to wait longer.

Laser treatments over the treated area (fraxel, laser, IPL) because it can destroy the pigments.

Smoking: smokers may notice that their semi permanent cosmetic will fade faster

Anemia and Iron Deficiency: your Brody will absorb these iron based pigments more quickly

Sun Exposure: Increased exposure to the sun will cause premature fading.

Age and Metabolism: The faster your metabolism the faster the pigment may fade.

Anti-aging or acne products on the brows (anything with Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, etc will speed up pigment fading.

sunbathing, solarbrium, light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors. Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can speed pigment fading

What should I do before my appointment?

For LIPS: To ensure the best retention, it is recommended to exfoliate the lips a week prior to procedure by using a small toothbrush or washcloth. After exfoliating, apply vaseline or aquaphor daily. The softer the lips, the easier it is to implant the pigment. If you have an ideal color in mind, bring or send few reference photos

Avoid any blood thinning medication day of treatment. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, and Ibuprofen. Do not consume ANY alcohol/caffeine for at least 24 hours prior your appointment. Avoid smoking if possible as it will delay healing.

AVOID sun and tanning one week prior to your procedure.

Discontinue Glycolics, Retin-A or Retinol products 4 weeks before the scheduled appointment.

DO NOT use AHA skincare products close to the enhancement area 2 weeks prior to and after your procedure.

Do not consume ANY alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours prior your appointment. It will cause the skin to irritate and bleeding will reduce the pigment absorption as blood will push out the colors - resulting in poor color retention.

Do not wax, thread or tint your eyebrows one week before your procedure

No facials or chemical peels a week prior to the scheduled appointment.

Exfoliating is recommended on the brow area a week prior to the appointment for the skin to take in the pigment(s) easily during the procedure.

If you have anemia or low iron, please take an iron supplement prior to the procedure.

If you have reference photos, please show me so I can take into considerations for shape and color you desire.
